We pass by the pictoresque pilgrimage chapel "Lady of the Snows" and head towards the ski-lift Ständli. After a sharp right turn and a short downhill passage, we reach the mountain path which leads to Unterschwändi. While ascending, you will enjoy great panoramic views of the Mount Mythen and see the peaks of the Glärnisch range and of Mount Säntis in the eastern Alps. The trail climbs up constantly via the mountain farms Schochenhütte, Chäserenholz and Kulm and finally reaches the peak of Mt. Rigi (Kulm, 1'800 m.a.s.l.)
The panoramic view up there is breathtaking indeed. In summertime, you may also buy superb local cheese, produced by the farmers of Alp Trib and Alp Chäserenholz. All in all, you will have gained 500 metres of altitude, and you will have burnt about 700 calories on your way from Klösterli to Kulm. Well done!
