Hike up Mt. Rigi on the old traditional route. At the beginning of the
19th century guests from all over the world used this trail to reach
Mount Rigi. They were either taken by special Rigi carriers or
travelled on horseback.
Follow the Rigistrasse from the centre of the village to the Chilewald, Bodenberg. The path continues via Sentiberg, Heiligkreuz, to the
Felsetor. Before you pass through "Felsentor", the huge rock archway,
have a break at the Hotel Felsentor. The last part of the route runs
parallel to the Rigi railway track from Romiti to Rigi Kaltbad.
