Covered picnic areas�(Gruebinen)
Even if there's some rain, your visit and picnic on Mt. Rigi shall be joyful: Mt. Rigi Tourism has constructed romantic log-shelters, so you can enjoy your stay at a dry and cosy place. For the construction of these shelters, the builders have used trunks, that have fallen at a recent major thunderstorm. The locals call such covered dwelling places which protect you�from sun, heat and rain�"Gruebinen". Of course, they are all well equipped with campfire-site, wood for burning, comfortable benches and tables. It's all ready for you - enjoy your picnic or barbeque!

Rigiland
Tis pincic place is situated�underneath beautiful trees which offer a nice shade. Fireplace, table and benches: It's all there for a happy picnic or barbeque in the open air. It will take you only five minutes to walk there from the train station of Kaltbad.
K�nzeli
This picnic place offers a breathtaking panoramic view, since it is located at�a great viewpoint, again underneath trees which offer shade. There are tables and benches for a comfortable stay.�
Gratweg
Situated half way between the viewpoint K�nzeli and the train station of Staffelh�he. It takes about 30 minutes to�get�there from the station of�Kaltbad.�It's a very sunny location and there are�comfortable benches.
Bruedersbalm
Very romantic place with a little waterfall and interesting rock formations. The path from the alpine farm Tribh�tte to Des Alpes will take you there.�
