The relatively steep route from Seebodenalp to Rigi Staffel was already taken by Queen Victoria back in 1868 - but admittedly on horseback. However, Rigi hikers are richly rewarded for their efforts with enchanting views from Rigi Staffel. The train trip with Europe's first cogwheel railway which, depending on the chosen route, is followed by the bus journey ride to Küssnacht, completes this circular tour.
Of course, the journey in the opposite direction is equally recommendable.
At the stations of the Rigi Railways you will find parking spaces subject to a parking fee.
However, we recommend public transport instead of cars: lean back, enjoy and do something good for the environment.
