Berggasthaus Burggeist

Description

The mountain inn features a large, wind-protected panoramic terrace with table service, a unique mountain scenery, and superb views across Lake Lucerne and all the way to the Säntis peak in north-eastern Switzerland. The nine guest rooms with 2–4 beds each and shared bathroom facilities offer simple but cosy accommodation high above Gersau; suitable for individual guests, couples, families, social clubs, or other groups. Guests will enjoy fresh and tasty meals sourced from regional products as well as a diligent and friendly service.
The mountain restaurant has its own cable car service. The base station is in Gschwänd above Gersau and takes the guests right up to the restaurant. Rigi Burggeist is a car-free zone.

Arrival (Check-in/Check-out)

You reach the mountain guesthouse Rigi Burggeist as follows:
Motorway: Motorway exit Brunnen near Schwyz, continue to Gersau
Main road: Küssnacht - Weggis - Vitznau - Gersau.
From Gersau you take the private car along the mountain road up to Gschwend. The valley station of the cable car Obergschwend - Rigi Burggeist is about 5 km above Gersau. There are chargeable parking spaces for CHF 5 per day.
On Saturdays and Sundays during the summer season and on all public holidays, a private bus runs from the Gersau boat station to Obergschwend (bus timetable, contact). During ski operations, you can take the ski bus up on weekends and Wednesday afternoons. The hotel's own aerial cableway then takes you comfortably from Gschwend to Burggeist at 1551 metres above sea level.
By public transport you travel with the Rigi Railway from Arth-Goldau to the Kräbel station. There you change to the cable car Kräbel - Scheidegg, which takes you up to Rigi Scheidegg. From the mountain station it is a 15-minute walk down to the mountain restaurant Rigi Burggeist.
Cheque in is possible from 16.00. Cheque out is until 10.00 o'clock. Luggage depot in the hotel possible on request.

Extra cots and baby cots are available upon request; pets are accepted upon request and against an additional fee. Different cancellation terms apply to groups. The breakfast is included. Taxes are excluded.
Please note that the Rigi Burggeist mountain inn does not accept credit cards. Payments with EC direct and PostFinance cards are possible.
