Küssnacht - Seebodenalp aerial cable car

The hiking and winter sports area of Seebodenalp is situated on a wide, expansive terrace at 1030 metres above sea level. At your feet glitters Lake Lucerne, while Rigi Kulm towers high above you. The fastest and easiest way of reaching the alp, which is surrounded by woods, is by aerial cable car from Küssnacht – Seebodenalp.
The rustic mountain restaurants are inviting places to linger and treat yourself. In summer you can have a barbecue at one of the well-maintained, specially provided sites, with views of the lake, while the "Glacier Trail" themed walk turns back the clock to the last Ice Age, and there are numerous other walks on Mt. Rigi which start or finish on the Seebodenalp.
In winter the Seebodenalp is often bathed in sunshine above the layer of cloud below. And it's not only a paradise for sun-worshippers but also for winter sports fans: the small but charming skiing area and the cross-country skiing trail offer the chance of fun in the snow far away from the crowds.
