The Chapel of mary, dedicated to St Nicholas, was built in 1890 on the Langberg mountain above Lauerz.
Description
The devotional image, the statue of Our Lady with the baby Jesus, has survived some troubled times. The statue was once hidden on the Haggenegg, above Schwyz, but it was moved by the builder of the chapel to the Langberg, where it still stands today.
If you are planning a wedding or christening, the Langberg Chapel is the perfect venue. It has room for about 30 people.
