You walk with your expert guide through Gersau - the "altfrye Republik". For over 400 years Gersau was the smallest republic - a "free land". This is a unique part of Swiss history. During the tour you will get to know particularly beautiful places, the characteristic church, the magnificent Old Town Hall and stately mansions, stroll along the lake and enjoy the view of Lake Lucerne and the unique mountain scenery. During the public tour you will learn how silk was brought to Gersau and that the silk raw materials are still processed into high-quality natural yarns bearing the "Swiss Mountain Silk" label. Discover this pearl at Lake Lucerne!
The village tour can be paired perfectly with a delicious dinner at one of the regional restaurants.
