Together they interpret vocal music from „Die Schöpfung“ by Joseph Haydn and from the opera „Der Wildschütz“ by Albert Lortzing, but the focus lies on four songs by Franz Schubert. Something else makes this concert a unique experience: you hear works by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, that have not been played in Weggis before. Although he was world-famous as a phi-losopher and author in the 18th century, his works as a composer are rather unknown. Stephan Thomas arranged different instrumental pieces from operas by Jean-Jacques Rousseau for organ and bundled them to suites: „Der Dorfwahr-sager“ and „Daphnis et Chloé“.
