Concert with Andreas Vollenweider & Friends
Röm.-kath. Pfarrkirche
Rigiblickstrasse 5, 6353 Weggis
Concert as part of the 20th Education Festival, which takes place from August 13 - 16 in Weggis.
"The world is sound"
Our world and us - a cosmic symphony.
On this evening, Andreas Vollenweider, together with Isabel Gehweiler and Veronika Stalder, tells us not only with music, but also with words: about the little-known background and findings of his sound research, about his artistic work and about his medical-scientific projects that shed light on the connection between sound, people and consciousness.
Music from the intermediate worlds.
The magic of filigree tone fabrics alternates with powerful sounds - sometimes stormy, soaring rhythms. The trio's special instruments open up a broad spectrum of previously unheard and otherworldly sounds. This makes the music a direct experience of Vollenweider's performances. Many pieces are created in free improvisation and thus become an exploratory journey into the unpredictable - for the performers as well as for the audience.
Performers: Andreas Vollenweider (harp and ethno wind instruments, Isabel Gehweiler (cello) and Veronika Stalder (vocals, nyckelharpa and guitar)
