Note: The section between Seebodenalp and Rigi Kulm above Rigi Bänderen is only a few marked. About the "Arschbäggli" it can be tricky in wet conditions. This section is a T4. Back from Seebodenalp to Küssnacht, you can use the cable car Küssnacht-Seebodenalp.
RIGI LEHNER’S TRAIL
You will walk past gardens and flower meadows and enjoy a magnificent view of the lake and mountains. The unique hiking trail with a wonderful panorama starts at the Hohlen Gasse. It is well signposted and ends in the historic, old-frye Republic of Gersau.
DRÜ-CHAPPELE-PATH
The easily accessible path in Hohlgassland starts from the railway station Küssnacht northwards through the railway underpass. The round trip can be completed comfortably in 4 hours.
The Dorfallmig Corporation has spent a lot of time in the past years restoring the two idyllic landscape buildings, the Red Cross Chapel and the St. Martin's Chapel (both built around the middle of the 17th century).
The chapels are open during the day for the pleasant hiker to stop for refreshment and in summer also as to seek shade. Both chapels are equipped with small towers from which the small bells ring daily.
The current building of the St. Catherine's Chapel, which is under the care of the Haltikoner Allmend Corporation, dates back to 1636. The bell inside of the Chapel shows the Harzahl 1485, which proves that there must have been a sacred building at the same place earlier. This chapel was also thoroughly renovated in the seventies.
These rooms are ideal for all types of festivities, cultural events and devotions. The corporations are happy to make these nice rooms more accessible to the public.
