Riding on historical rolling stock to the Queen of the Mountains - who hasn't dreamt of it as a child? And exactly such a childhood dream should come true on Mt. Rigi.
From Whitsun 2023, historic rolling stock will be in daily service from Goldau. Always on Wednesdays, guests travel with historical rolling stock, which is at least 50 years old, to the Queen of the mountains.
Car No. 6 is the oldest, ready-to-operate electric cog railcar in the world and has travelled around the world almost 9 times during its 108 years of operation.
COSTS
A valid ticket for Mount Rigi allows you to travel on these trains for no extra charge. Kids under the age of 16 travel free-of-charge so long as they are accompanied by an adult. No reservation is required.
