Approaching from the valley, you can ascend Mount Rigi in a number of different ways. Either by taking the cogwheel railway from Goldau or Vitznau that whisks you up to Rigi Kulm or by taking the aerial cableway that takes you from Weggis to Rigi Kaltbad. From 4pm onwards, you can take advantage of the «After-Work Ticket» that is discounted from the normal fare.

On Mount Rigi, the Queen of the Mountains, you can enjoy a truly incredible panorama. The view sweeps across 13 lakes and a sea of alpine peaks: Säntis, Glarus and Bernese Alps, as far west as the Jura Massif, and the Black Forest/Vosges mountains in the north. From Rigi Kulm you can even see 24 of the 26 Swiss Cantons by optimal visibility.
