Exclusive: A day with a Rigi alpine farmer

Experience customs, tradition and culture at first hand on the Rigi. Franz Toni Kennel offers an insight into the life of a Rigi alpinist. An eventful day with lots of activity and enjoyment.

This could be your alpine day on the Rigi:

After the impressive ride up the mountain, the visitors to Mt. Rigi are greeted at the top by Franz Toni or another member of the team. After walking for about 20 minutes, they reach the «Chäserenholz» mountain hut, where they are immersed in the traditional way of life of alpine farmers.
After enjoying a good glass of alpine punch, the members of the group learn how to make a Rigi mountain cheese for themselves. Then the party really gets going with an alpine BBQ accompanied by panoramic views. A walk through a lightly wooded area and across lush alpine meadows rounds of the visit to the Rigi farmer.
