10.15 AM | VITZNAU TRAIN STATION

From Vitznau, the honored Mount Rigi train has been taking guests up to the Queen of the Mountains since 1871. The train runs every hour from Vitznau to Rigi Kulm.

10.47 AM | RIGI KULM 

After a scenic ascent ride, you will reach your goal, the summit of Rigi - Rigi Kulm. Do you know that you can spot as many as 13 lakes from the viewpoint? We are curious if you can find them all. The majestic panoramic view on the top of Mt. Rigi is an absolute «must see».

Rigi Kulm-Hotel

12.00 AM | LUNCH BREAK

A short descending walk from Rigi Kulm takes you to Rigi Staffelhöhe. Only a few meters from the station is the Hotel & Restaurant Edelweiss. Spoil yourself and take a break there. Our tip: sit outside on the sun terrace when the weather is nice - the views of the surrounding nature are truly incredible!

13.30 UHR | WALK

Do you feel like a walk after the meal? From the Lok 7 Restaurant (former BärgGnuss), the pleasant flower path leads via Staffelhöhe to the well-known viewpoint Känzeli followed by Rigi Kaltbad.

14.15 | RETURN JOURNEY FROM RIGI KALTBAD

As you can see, the time on Mt. Rigi flies by. From Kaltbad, the cogwheel train can take you back to Vitznau or the aerial cable car back to Weggis, where you can comfortably travel back to Lucerne by boat.
