About RigiPlus AG
Mount Rigi Tourist Board
RigiPlus AG was founded in August 2012 as a tourism development and marketing organisation for the Mount Rigi region by the seven largest service providers on the mountain with the following aims:
- Streamlining of tourism resources in the region to enhance competitiveness
- Integration of offerings for customers & integral marketing strategies
- Establishment of a closer service chain across the two cantons and nine municipalities
Today, RigiPlus AG has 38 partners, 25 of whom are shareholders, representing a total of approximately 60 tourism service providers.
In order to round up the mountain-valley-lake service chain, RigiPlus has integrated the districts Küssnacht and Gersau as well as the municipalities of Arth and Lauerz into the shareholders of RigiPlus AG since January 1st, 2018. It symbolizes an expansion of the service portfolio from 900m to 450 m above sea level.
Within the framework of the REV project for regional development, the mission statement of Mount Rigi was established. The mission statement contains the guiding principles for the cooperation within the communities and with partners, the responsible handling of the valuable nature resources and landscape of Mount Rigi, tourism, infrastructure, and other important topics.
