Then book a guided village tour and learn more about the history of the "altfrye Republik Gersau". Gersau was the smallest republic for over 400 years - a "frys land". This is a "unique feature of Swiss history". (A.Müller)

During the tour, you will get to know especially beautiful squares, the characteristic church, the magnificent Old Town Hall and stately mansions. Stroll along the lake and enjoy the view of Lake Lucerne as well as the unique mountain scenery.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • The guided private tours for individuals, groups and school classes are available daily on request
  • The tour lasts approximately one hour
  • It is available in the following languages: German, English, French
  • In July and August, public tours are taking place every Thursday at 5:00 pm. A reservation until Wednesday, 12.00 pm is essential.
